Promotion

What It Is​

The Promotions sub-module in the HelloMe Money Admin Panel allows administrators to create, manage, and target promotional messages to users across the mobile and web platforms.

These promotions help engage customers, announce offers, and communicate important updates, either globally or tailored by country, tenant, agent, or branch.


Why It Exists​

βœ… Customer Engagement: Increase customer activity and retention through targeted campaigns.
βœ… Service Announcements: Inform customers about new features, rate changes, or service availability.
βœ… Regional/Agent Targeting: Tailor promotions to specific countries, agents, or branches for relevance.
βœ… Operational Updates: Notify users and agents of internal updates or regional changes.


Key Use Cases​

  • New Rate Promotions: e.g., "Send money to Ghana at ₦2,000/Β£!" for UK users.
  • Seasonal Offers: e.g., "Holiday cashback on all transfers."
  • Service Notices: e.g., "Mobile Wallet now supported in Kenya!"
  • Urgent Advisories: e.g., "Delays expected due to public holidays in Nigeria."
  • Agent Communications: e.g., "Top 3 agents this month win a bonus!"

Editing a Promotion​

Admins can edit an existing promotion if they need to:

βœ… Update the promotion message.
βœ… Change the target country, tenant, agent, or branch.
βœ… Upload a new attachment (e.g., updated flyer/banner).
βœ… Extend or change the expire date.
βœ… Adjust targeting due to operational or marketing changes.


When to Edit a Promotion​

  • A rate offer has changed.
  • You want to correct typos in the promotion message.
  • You want to add/remove targeting for specific countries or agents.
  • You need to extend a promo campaign due to marketing strategy.
  • Updating an attachment with a new flyer or creative.

How to Edit​

1️⃣ Go to the Promotions Homepage in the Admin Panel.
2️⃣ Locate the promotion you want to update.
3️⃣ Click the β€œEdit” button next to that promotion row.
4️⃣ Update the required fields:

  • Description (message text)
  • Tenant, Country, Agent, Branch targeting
  • Attachment (upload new file if needed)
  • Expire Date

5️⃣ Click Save to apply your changes.


Editable Fields During Promotion Edit​

Notes on Editing Promotions​

  • Edits take effect immediately once saved.
  • If you extend the expire date, the promotion will remain visible to users until the new date.
  • You can hide a promotion temporarily by setting its status to β€œInactive” instead of deleting it.

Adding New Promotion

1️⃣ Go to the Promotions Homepage in the Admin Panel.

2️⃣ Click the "Add Promotional Messages" button on top right of the screen.

3️⃣ Update the required fields as shown below

When creating a new promotion, admins fill in the following fields:

Tenant*Select a specific tenant, or "All Tenants" for a global message.
Country*Select the target country for the promotion (e.g., UK, Nigeria).
Agent(Optional) Target a specific agent.
Branch(Optional) Target a specific agent branch.
MessageThe promotional message or announcement text.
AttachmentUpload a flyer, banner, or PDF relevant to the promotion.
Expire Date*The date when the promotion will stop displaying to end-users.
